celebrated holiday in NYC. While I didn't drink any green beer, a coworker and I did slip away at lunch time to take in the sights of the parade. We saw many men in skirts (kilts), several individuals dressed uniquely in shades of green, horses and marching bands.

Nifty green photos! I was just remembering St Patrick's Day 1988 - I visited Auntie Renie and we ate a green bagel that day for breakfast. From the Irish Jewish bakery, I suppose!
St Patrick's Day was my dad's b'day. He was born in 1896.
I remember my first St Paddy's in NYC too. It snowed.
